A nurturing environment.
Space to create, learn, develop ideas, and build a lasting connection to the land.
CHATTahoochee HILLS ARTS, CULTURE & EDUCATION
Where Creatives Grow.
In February 2020, Tyree Smith secured 73 acres in Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia. That Black-owned land became the foundation for CHACE Village, his Creative Placemaking project. Thirteen acres within the property are dedicated to CHACE Farms.
Over the six years that followed, Tyree researched Atlanta’s creative community, interviewed hundreds of people, and produced dozens of events and programs. Those conversations helped define what CHACE needed to become: a place where creatives could find the environment, community, and resources to grow.
WHY CHACE EXISTS
Our work begins with the conditions
people need to thrive.
Space to create, learn, develop ideas, and build a lasting connection to the land.
People who share knowledge, encourage one another, and contribute to each other’s growth.
We are building pathways to the land, tools, knowledge, and opportunities that help creatives move their work forward.
LAND, OWNERSHIP & POSSIBILITY
For Tyree, as a Black creative, ownership means having a voice in how land is used, the opportunities it creates, and how it grows. CHACE is being built with that responsibility in mind.
Our purpose is to nurture creativity, build community, and create opportunities through art, agriculture, education, and wellness. The long-term vision connects creative work, land stewardship, entrepreneurship, and community wealth.
CHACE Farms is part of that work: developing a place for growing food, learning, gathering, and agritourism within the larger CHACE Village community.

A MILESTONE FOR CHACE
CHACE secured the City of Chattahoochee Hills’ first agritourism permit. It marks a milestone in the work to bring agriculture, education, and community experiences together on this land.
